Heat treatment of steel is the process of raising steel to a specified temperature, then holding it for a suitable period of time and cooling it at a calculated rate to obtain a product with the required mechanical properties (increasing hardness). , the wear resistance of steel).

Heat treatment of steel is the process of raising steel to a specified temperature, then holding it for a suitable period of time and cooling it at a calculated rate to obtain a product with the required mechanical properties (increasing hardness). , the wear resistance of steel).
Heat treatment is divided into 2 types including:
- Conventional heat treatment: this is a common type of heat treatment, a method that simply affects the temperature to change the properties of steel (such as annealing, normalizing, tempering ...)
- Chemical heat treatment: is heat treatment but accompanied by a change in chemical composition on the surface of the material and continued heat treatment with single or multi-element carbon, nitro
1. I am barefoot
Vacuum quenching (Vacuum Quenching) is a method of heat treatment of steel in a nitrogen environment, in the process of processing oxygen gas will be ejected. So there will be no oxidation during heat treatment
Vacuum tempering temperature is from 1000 degrees Celsius to 1200 degrees Celsius, vacuum heat method is applied to process special steels: SKD11, SKD61, SLD, DC53, DAC, SKH51...
Features of vacuum heat method: increase product durability, ensure product size accuracy after heat treatment.
2. Carbon absorbent
Carburizing treatment is a treatment method for steel products into a furnace with an environment consisting of a mixture of gases with main components Co,N2,H2 , which is supplemented with enriching gas, raising the temperature to reach the desired temperature. about 900℃, allow the carbon to penetrate into the surface of the material, then proceed to harden the product.
Low carbon alloy steel material, low carbon steel with good machinability is mechanically processed to form the desired product shape, after quenching treatment, a hard layer will be formed on the surface of the product. carbonization.
Moreover, the core organization of the heat-treated product is still flexible, the overall product has good toughness to ensure impact-resistant hardness, and the surface of the product has a high hardness, so that the product Good wear resistance, high working intensity. Different from conventional products, carbon absorbent treatment products have both opposite characteristics, hard surface but tough core.
Depending on the treatment program, the degree of penetration of the material, the average case depth effective is in the range of 0.3 - 0.5mm/HV513 (HV550).
3. Nitrification
Gaseous nitriding treatment (Nitriding) is a treatment method for products to be put into a furnace with a mixed gas environment including NH, N₂, CO₂, raising the temperature to 530 - 600 ℃, conducting carbon permeation with ingredients. C decomposes from CO₂, causing the formation of a coating on the product surface (white layer - compound layer) with a depth of 5 - 20 μm created by carbonization of iron.
The intimately formed absorbent layer has high hardness and good bearing capacity, improving the wear resistance of the product surface. Moreover, because the surface is covered by a deep permeable layer, it improves the corrosion resistance. The surface hardness achieved depends on the type of steel, with ordinary steel materials, the surface hardness reaches HV400-600, the highest achievable hardness is about 900HV
4. Ram
Ram (Tempering) is a method of heat treatment of steel including the process of heating the part to a temperature lower than the critical temperature, and then holding the heat for the time necessary for the residual martensite and austenite to decompose into groups. suitable function and then cooled. Ram is the next process after quenching to adjust (reduce) the later hardness of the steel.
